That’s how much weight I lost since I started the fitness challenge. My goal was one pound per week. As you know, when you’re quite overweight you tend to lose a lot at first and then plateau. So the trick is to do this in moderation. Slowly, but surely you’ll get your body used to the reduced calories and the exercise. This way, you don’t go into starvation mode and the weight stays off permanently. Unless you decide to go gallivanting all over the world and eat your way across Europe. We won’t name, names!
Today’s exercise is…..(drum roll) PILATES! Because I seriously am starting to enjoy these exercises. Part of me just wants to go shopping for mats, blocks and finally be able to wear cute yoga stretch pants. The other part of me feels sort of like a superhero when I finish these moves. Do you remember that movie ‘Entrapment’ with Catherine Zeta Jones where she has that scene where she’s moving through the lasers? I sort of feel like that, only more awesome. Hey, whatever gets you motivated, right?
